The social initiatives organised by MMVIC are organised for the community by the community to develop awareness of various cultural, recreational, educational and social aspects.
MMVIC does not take any RISKS and/or responsibility to the extent permitted by law for losses, costs and damages incurred as a result of voluntary participation in the programs and the events provided by MMVIC.
THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER SHALL SERVE AS A COMPLETE RELEASE AND EXPRESS ASSUMPTION OF RISK BY THE PARTICIPANT.
Participants further acknowledge, attest and represent that he/she/they voluntarily wish to enter and participate in MMVIC and its programs and events; participant understand that such participation involves arduous and strenuous athletic activities;
Participant further agrees that they are qualified, in good health, physically fit and in proper physical condition to participate in MMVIC and its programs and have been encouraged to seek medical advice for any concern participant may have regarding same; they should understand their physical limitations and ensure they are sufficiently self-aware to stop physical activity before they become ill or injured;
Participant will obey all rules and regulations for participation in the program and the events and the failure to do so may result in injury, or may be unacceptably hazardous or dangerous, they agree to notify MMVIC and will refuse and refrain from taking part until the condition has been corrected to their satisfaction.
Participant acknowledges and understands that participants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to participate in any sports league, social event or tournaments. Participant does hereby release and forever discharge and hold harmless MMVIC from any and all liability, claims and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from Participants participation in the events, programs offered or sponsored by MMVIC. Participant understands and acknowledges that this Release discharges MMVIC from any liability or claim that the Participant may have against MMVIC with respect to any injury, illness, or death that may result from Participant’s participation in the program, whether caused in whole or in part by Participant’s negligence or the negligence of MMVIC or its officers, directors, employees, or agents or otherwise. Participant also understands that MMVIC does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to health or disability insurance, in the event of injury or illness. This Release in no way eliminates MMVIC’s liability for its own gross negligence.
