Synopsis

This historical film pays tribute to the unsung hero of the Maratha empire — Sardar Kondaji Farzand, Shivaji Maharaj’s braveheart and disciple of the great Tanaji Malusare, who managed to conquer the fort of Panhala from the reigns of the Adilshahi empire, against all odds with just a bunch of 60 mavalas.

Despite knowing that they would be outnumbered by the Adilshahi army of Bijapur, the mavalas chose to put their lives on the line for Shivaji and Swarajya.

The king vowed to overthrow the Adilshahi reign in Panhala, owing to their atrocities on locals. Shivaji chose Kondaji Farzand to take charge of this near impossible task of capturing the impenetrable Panhalgad. This mission entailed the special 60 to scale the dangerously steep end of the Sahyadri mountain range and create an illusion of being a full-fledged army.
